NextCare Holdings’ Texas Expansion Continues with Opening of Fifth Urgent Care Center in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – (November 4, 2015) – Impact Urgent Care, a brand of NextCare Holdings, Inc. – one of the nation’s largest providers of urgent care medicine and occupational medical services – announces the opening of a new clinic in San Antonio. This center is the fifth Impact Urgent Care center to open in the market and brings the total number of network locations throughout Texas to 31.

The new Impact Urgent Care facility will begin serving patients Nov. 17 at 8803 Highway 151 (off of Potranco Rd.). Key features of the center include digital X-rays as well as a complete on-site lab.

The Potranco clinic will be open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will accept most insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Medicare, Tricare, and United Health Care. Impact Urgent Care’s clinics – led by Medical Director, Dr. Evan Ratner – are the City’s only certified provider of the ImPACT Concussion Management Model, to provide patients with concussion baseline testing and concussion care. Pre-injury baseline tests are offered for free on a drop-in basis.

Impact Urgent Care offers an online check-in service, which allows patients to register on a computer, tablet or smartphone, and wait for their time to be seen in a virtual waiting room – from the location of the patient’s choice. Impact Urgent Care will then communicate via phone or text message when it is time for the patient to arrive. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
