Scott Weingarten, MD, MPH

Dr. Scott Weingarten is an AI Council Member at Enhanced Healthcare Partners. He serves as Chief Value Officer of Vytalize. Dr Weingarten also serves on the Board of Vytalize, NextCare, Alora Behavioral Health, Synergy Health Partners and Pryor Health.  Dr. Weingarten is on the Medical Staff at Cedars-Sinai and serves as Professor Emeritus. He is also a consultant to FJ Health. Dr. Weingarten co-founded and was CEO of Zynx Health, a digital health order set and care plan company. He was also co-inventor of three software patents developed at Zynx. Dr. Weingarten co-founded and was CEO of Stanson Health, a clinical decision support and analytics company utilizing artificial intelligence. Stanson’s technology is used by hospitals and healthcare providers across ambulatory and telehealth settings. Following the sale of Stanson to Premier, Inc. (NASDAQ: PINC), he served as Premier’s Chief Clinical and Innovation Officer. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Transformation Officer at Cedars-Sinai Health System. During his tenure, he received the Alumnus of the Year Award (voted on by the Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff), the Golden Apple Award (voted on by Cedars-Sinai interns and residents), and the President’s Award. He has also held executive leadership positions at Premier, Inc., Hearst Corporation, and Cerner. Dr. Weingarten has held faculty appointments in the Departments of Medicine at both Cedars-Sinai and David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He served as Professor of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai and Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA. He has authored approximately 100 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, many focused on innovative healthcare delivery models, and was previously a New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst “Thought Leader.”

Dr. Weingarten currently serves on the boards of multiple organizations, including Downtown Women's Center, and Magical Moments Project. He is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. In addition, he serves on the Executive Board of the Scottsdale Institute, which includes many of the nation’s leading health systems.

After graduating from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Dr. Weingarten completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai. He also earned an M.P.H. from University of California, Los Angeles and later completed a National Center for Health Services Research fellowship at the RAND/UCLA Center for Health Policy Study. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
